Buckles Bear 100

The Bear 100 Mile Endurance Run returned to the Wasatch–Bear River ranges with its signature fall colors, rugged climbs and a point-to-point route from Logan, UT to Bear Lake (Fish Haven, ID). The 2025 edition featured approximately 22,000 ft (6,700 m) of climbing and drew a deep field of mountain ultrarunners.

Course & Conditions

The Bear is revered for long climbs, technical descents, and classic autumn weather. The 2025 course followed the traditional point-to-point alignment with a minor tweak near “Mud Flat,” adding ~0.3 miles and ~100 ft of vertical. Runners traversed pine forests, quaking aspens, and open ridgelines before dropping to Bear Lake.
