The Run Rabbit Run 100 Mile returned to Steamboat Springs, Colorado with its signature mix of high altitude,
big climbs, and one of ultrarunning’s largest prize purses. On a course of roughly 101 miles with about
16,000 ft of climbing, the 2025 edition delivered dramatic racing through classic fall conditions in the Rockies.
Weather played a real role this year: a calm, cool start gave way to hours of evening storms (rain, hail, lightning, wind),
before a chilly, clearer overnight and sunny patches on Saturday morning. Despite the volatility, the front of the field pushed hard,
chasing a share of the event’s $85,000+ prize purse, including $20,000 for each winner.
